5 STEPS TO CREATE YOUR BRAND STYLE GUIDE:

  1. COLLECT IMAGES OF INSPIRATION
  • The images can be of anything, packaged food, posters, magazine pages, clothing….

2. DEFINE THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF YOUR BRAND

  • Brand Story – how did the idea of your company came about, what and who inspired you
  • Logo Guidelines – think about the ways your logo will be used and how it would fit with your product
  • Brand Color Palette – pick 3 colors, one bright, one dark, one light and a shade
  • Typography – pick a font that will compliment your Logo and both work well together.
  • Images – focus, filters, style
  • Brand Voice – pick key words that fit with your company, make a list of the top 5

3. Decide where your company will live for the most part

  • Digital – Website, Social Media ( Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, other), Banners
  • Printed – Stationary ( Business Card, Letterhead, Envelopes, Invoices), Brochures / Sell Sheets, Packaging, Merchandise, Store Signage

4. Finally, create a booklet with all of the above elements and be very proud
